My youngest daughter has said she will have mine as well as my parrots if they outlive me too.

Oooh, a very good question. As I live alone (Other half has his own home and I don't "do" children) and my sister is only a year younger than me, it's a worry.

I bought my first home just under 2 years ago and need to get my backside into gear and write a will. I'm hoping to arrange for Lolly to be left a large chunk of the proceeds of the house sale in a trust of some kind.

I've read about cats and dogs inheriting massive sums of money, so hopefully she can inherit a more modest amount without anyone contesting it. Certainly my family know that she will be getting something and they know that that is my wish.

Thats a great idea. I could leave a big lump sum for my torts to be looked after xx

That's the plan - set up a trust for her from the sale of the house/contents and a sum would be released to her new owner every month towards her needs.

I just need to get this sorted.
Any legal bods on here with advice on how to go about it?
And any ideas with regards to the cost?
