"Prison Island"
In the absence of my own Tortoise (yet), I thought I'd share some recent pictures of our trip to Prison Island off the coast of Zanzibar in March this year.
Formerly a Prison (funnily enough!!), then converted to a Quarantine for Yellow Fever. It was turned into a Giant Tortoise Sanctury after the Mayor of the Seychelles donated 2 giant tortoises as a 'thank you' for housing the 'infected' people before they got to the seychelles. Seriously impressive place, as you can see, it's a real 'up close' encounter, one which I will never forget

It was fairly spectacular I will admit!!, but I'm a little biased, as later in that day I proposed to my partner
