Default April competition 2007

Hi everyone the time has come for a new competition
The competition will run for 2 weeks closeing date 14th April 2007...
You will need to post a picture of the weirdest/fun tortoise item you find /have ..
1 entry per person prizes to follow ..
remember you got to be in it to win it guys

this photo does not do this guy justice as he is battery operated so he actually walks and sings at the same time

Hi Lisa,

I can't believe it! I think I have the same one. Does he sing "Slow down, you move too fast"? If he is the same then you're right - he needs to be seen in action to fully appreciate!

My tortoise is made of either stone or resin hes very heavy, not very big and has an engraving of a rhino on both sides and a flower on his back I got him at a car boot and think he may be african, sorry about picture quality my camera,s not very good at close ups.

LOL! That was your snap, Lisa (it was included in your quote in my reply). I can't believe there are two of these about <g>. I got mine in an Oxfam shop and took him on the TF outing last year - where he was a great hit. I'm bringing him again this year and we're going to have a competition to give him a name, with the proceeds going to charity. I love the way his head comes out and up when he starts to sing and then tucks back in when he's finished.

I was going to take mine on the TF trip for a giggle as well. thought he could have been my ice-breaker. all I can say is great minds think alike
