Default "Lucky Break"

Talk about lucky... I was in the house and heard this huge crash outside. Looked out and saw this! We've had alot of rain this last week and this branch decided to come down in the torts pens. If you look in the top corner of the right pen you will see two hatchlings that were just inches from being smooshed. Luckily everyone is fine!

That was close - I am so glad they are ok - it did take me ages to find them in the pic though - they are so tiny!

that was lucky Paul,i cant help thinking how small those little guys are .dont you have any birds over there,or is it an illusion and those are really giant steps lol.i have to net mine up to about 100mm and the hatchlings have chicken wire when outside.if anyone wants some magpies i have them to spare.its been ages since i have seen any enclosure pictures Paul, preferably with your lovely tortoises in.

I luckily don't have magpies here and the birds I do have never bother with the torts. Mostly songbirds like robins and cardnals. Some hawks but they never even come down from the tops of the trees. I've been beating around in my head to do a makeover of the pens and don't have a clue what to do. I've been going trough hundreds of photos to get ideas and i'm still no closer to knowing what I'm going to do. When I do I will take some pics Terry.
