I am in the process of making a Uk captive bred breeders list. If you are a breeder of tortoises and want to be added to the list please let me know.

Name
Location e.g london, birmingham
Species Bred e.g ibera, red foots
Email address

How are you going to filter the list to make sure no dealears get on?

Well if someone asks to be added to the list and I am unsure who it is, i will ask the rest of the mods. Sandy and Darren know most tortoise breeders.

wouldn't asking the people asking to be on for a reference better? and pics of the babies/adults?
I mean, if darren or other mods don't know of them, and they are actually captive breeders- it would be kind of unfair wouldn't it...

Good idea!!! yes im sure if we don't know who they are we will ask them losts of questions about housing, feeding etc....

I have my own breeders list on my website, and that is what i do to 'vet' the breeders.

Great idea and nice site you have We will make sure everyone who we don't now personally is vetted in some way to prove there reliable breeders if in doubt we will not add them as i'm sure you would do
