Contact Environmental Health at the council, they have a pest control department, but may charge a fee.

I used to get them a lot in my old house living in a vent in the dining room. I used to use the ant gel where you put 3 or 4 drops on a tile. It takes a few days but they keep taking the sticky liquid to the queen who then dies and the ants all die too. Maybe you could put the tile out of the way of the baby? You can also buy plastic things in DIY shops with poison in. Also my old neighbour used to do a trail of sugar leading to a big pile of sugar outside so the ants move out of their own accord but I'm not sure if this works.
I also had a deathwatch beetle nest in my old house but that's another story (which was one of the reasons why they rehoused us).
