This is the enclosure open and when the plants had started to grow a bit...( I put some in from seed& some plants out of the garden) I have insulated the little hut at the back, put a heat plate in it ...and they use the cold frame to ? There only tiny so they come back in at night.

Hi
I've just been on the other thread and didn't see this one. It is all looking great, love all the weeds. Where have you placed the heat pad? You have obviously spent a lot of time on all the garden. I can't remember how many torts you have?

Wonderful, well done Poppy. I bet your torts will love all that space & the juicy weeds.

Poppy that looks fantastic. Your tortoises will love the space! No risk of magpie attacks for you either.
I think it's brilliant and of course you haven't gone OTT. Tortoises are natural wanderers and yours will soon explore the whole place.

Thanks guys
Yes, the magpies will need to be pretty good to get through those lids Johnathan..I did notice that they have nested in the tree next to it so wasn't taking any chances!
Jan, you see the rabbit type hutch at the back, I have had to alter it , the little tort's are so small the ramp was to steep, so I put wood round the bottom, left a little tiny gap for them, to get in, I've insulated the whole box & then put a ceramic plate bulb in there, not a mat. so I put them in there to heat up and they come out when they are ready. |

brilliant set up. and love the photos. I have cloches those style and size too (cut a little hole in the side with scissors easily enough) but then worried cause the smaller ones go in and then cant seem to find their way out and when its hot its flipping hot. Very nice though and lucky tortoises CB
