R.I.P David Bowie
Very sad news this morning, David Bowie dies at the age of 69 , he had been fighting cancer for eighteen months. Very sad news, my over riding memory of him was Major Tom.

I have been hearing his songs on TV/radio and takes me back. They still sound so good. I keep hearing Major Tom in my mind. I had wanted to be the first British woman into space - dream on.......

I agree - we have lost a national treasure who was also a genius - a much overused word that in Bowie's case really was the right description.
I wasn't a huge fan of his acting, except in The Man Who Fell To Earth.

I grew up listening to his music from such a young age as my older brother by 10 years was a huge fan. Hubby saw him in concert back in the 80's. He was such a unique performer and I agree he was a national treasure. I'm sure he'll rest in peace up amongst the stars.

He's a star man now. And I agree, we have lost a real national treasure.
