Thanks, they are indeed charming turtles. Today, both of the latest hatchlings have been moved into their rearing quarters with their 2011 siblings. The growth of earlier young from this year is good and a total of five have been produced from three separate clutches.
because, these Asian Box turtles have such small clutch size it makes the species so highly vulnerable to the over collection from the wild to satisfy the seemingly inexhaustible Asian food trade.
