At the bottom of the web page link above it mentions an up to date Jackson Ratio for the Spur-Thighed tortoise- does that mean the African Spur thigh? If it means the med spur thigh, does anyone have a link to this version? Or should I be using the normal version as I have been up till now?
Thanks ~Tink~ |

If you get the name of the speices correct, you wont have problems knowing what the Jackson Ratio measures:0)
Spur thighs are either graeca graeca or ibera. African spurred tortoise is a Sulcata. The Jackson Ratio only measures hermans ibera and graecas.

My hatchlings are 3cm but the chart starts at 3.5? How can I work it out?

you will need to do it mathematically Calculating the Jackson Ratio: Measure the weight (in grams) Measure the Straight Line length (in cm) Calculate the weight divided by the length (in cm) cubed- (weight/ length*length*length) then with your final figure look at this
