Bulb and Lamp holder probs?
Hi,
I recently bought both my torts a new lamp holder and a new bulb each. The bulbs are both bulbs are Arcadia and both holders are Arcadia ceramic holders and reflectors. All about 3 weeks old and I came home yesterday to find Twiglets lamp off - so I presumed that the bulb had blown - no issue due to the guarantee. However, I tried the bulb in Tetley's holder and it didn't work - conclusion definitely the bulb. But I then tried Tetley's bulb in Twiglet's holder and that didn't work. So back it went into it's original lamp holder and fine. So my question is ( finally!!!) can I have been that unlucky to get a faulty bulb and holder or could there be another explanation, just seems odd to me????? Thanks

I have a few and one of them switches itself off then comes back on after about ten minutes very odd.

Seems the bulb may be no good Rowan but the holder may just need tweeking! Have you tried raising up the little metal connection bit inside? Sometimes they just don't make good contact if they are pushed down too far.

I had this problem, the little metal bit wasn't pushed down and out enough and when I pulled it a bit it made the connection, but could just be both Friday afternoon jobs Row I suppose, CB
