Try to post some pictures Alley.

With a hatchling coming out of the bottom of the egg (which they hardly ever do) the chances that it's twins is pretty good. Would also explain why the egg hatched early as they would be filling the egg and have used up the yolk if there are 2.

Ok, just checked the egg and it looks just the same as before, no progress from last night, baby is still alive.
Do I need to do anything? if it is twins, will the other one have its head on the opposite side of the egg? do I need to open the egg on that side?
I still cant tell yet if there is a large yolk sack and just the one hatchling. If it is 2 and the egg sack has all been used, does that mean they need to get out of the egg? should I try to see if there is a large yolk sack by peeling the egg back some more in the spot that it is already open?
Sorry for so many questions but at the moment the baby is alive and I would like to keep it that way if possible

It does sound quite funny, the face staring at you, may be it just can't wait to get out, good luck.

I wish it would, I am a little concerned at how long it is ok to leave it like this, do you think it will dehydrate? should I offer it a drink? it has made no attempt to free itself so I guess that means it is absorbing the yolk sack, how long can that take? ..........so many questions!

What a worry. You must be getting quite stressed by it. I'm sure someone will be along soon to give you some advice. I hope baby soon makes a bid for freedom and surprises you.
