Helbells thank you for posting photos of yours,They are lovely little tortoises.you have done well with them i am sure more little babys will follow.

Dave yours are quite lighter in colour to my little group,They are stunning though.How old are yours.

The biggest is eight years old, two four year olds and I have a couple of three year olds with similar colouration.

I also have Molly, who came to me this time last year, she has a much darker overall colouration. She laid four eggs last year, she had lived alone and, as I say, I don't have a male, she was probably just pleased to get them out!

Hi Kirkie your girls are really cute shame you don't live near me i'm sure my male would love to meet them. I've seperated him from the girls at the moment as he kept biting Tilly's face she is his favourite female. So at the moment he is in with Lilly the 4 year old female (Boettgeri) i brought a few weeks ago. Hopefully they can all go outside today as looks like its going to be nice and sunny depends if it get's windy though.

I have a 2 year old hatchling whose colouring is similar to yours.

Do you mind if I ask how you tell this subspecies apart from the other 2 hermanns?

[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]here is my group of hercs enjoing the sunshine today the smallest in the group of 4 is Lilly my little Boettgeri i thought she was a Herc but never mind. The little one by himself is Tiwi who i hatched on New Years Day.
