egyptiandan64, On reflection, I think your right dan, it may have been limbs (rather than the head) and it may have just been the carapace pushing up against the side of the egg?...

piglet, Yes darren, I have seen egg/yolk sacs on my Hermanns, Iberas and my only G.g. had a huge one last year. I had a hermanns last year almost explode out of the egg with a large sac attached, he was in a real hurry to be born . But the majority do not have sacs...

Just to update...4 have hatched so far, heres the 2nd hatchling, just chillin in the egg, he's in no rush ...T.T. 8)

Looking great Paul Yes it definately was the carapace up against the shell. When looking for the head just look for three legs in a row and the middle one will be the head.
