Lovely photos, Clare. I’m not a fan of slow worms. I know they’re lizards and not snakes but they move like snakes and give me the heebie-jeebies.
Used to have lots of them but thankfully haven’t had any I’ve seen since moving despite being much more rural.

thank you all - yes slow worms are a favourite (sorry Emma they are kinda cute ) - not sure how long they live as see them most years. I will have to put my stealth cameras up see whose bobbing around the garden at night. CB

Cute?
I blame my Nan who told me as a child to always check the loo before sitting down in case there was a snake in the bowl! I’ve had a phobia since and unfortunately apart from small worms, anything that slithers or looks snakelike makes me panic. I’m fine with spiders however...
