Default Ancient Green Turtle Nest site...

This is a very popular beach in Lido key, and it is sadly a sea turtle nesting site, you can't tell turtles to go nest somewhere else, see what happens:

There are lot more nests in quieter spots, however it is still on a hugely popular vacation spot.
Good thing is that they are well protected and will hatch one night despite all odds!

Been at the beach today. Looks like the nest next to three trash bins successfully hatched! It is empty and there is a little hole where it used to be. Good luck to them, baby loggerhead sea turtles. Here is a link if you interested in sea turtles conservation in this area, http://www.mote.org/index.php?src=ge...&category=Main.
