Stunning turtle in the photo Paul, is it a "Painted turtle?" these keep catching my eye, lovely colours & markings.

Prunella is my favourite Box turtle, bit of a character but also a bit jumpy so I might bring one or two of the others instead.

Burno,

Thats a female Eastern Box Turtle, Terrapene Carolina Carolina, I think.

Kirkie is quite correct, the picture is of an Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina carolina), which is one of the six sub species of this group. These along with three other species and their attendant subspecies makes up the rest of the Box Turtle clan!
