I took mine to the Bristol one last year and thought it was brilliant. They were concerned about her small nostrils, and the vet had a look at her. They gave her a really good check over. I was very impressed and will definitely be going back in April. It's good to have the passport as a record as well.

The Bristol one is good. It is also good to see they still use the passport system.

Well i can say that the Birmingham Health Check sees 200+ tortoises every time, with many regulars that have been coming for years, people are normally queing at 9am when it doesn't open till 10! A lot of this is thanks to Maggie and Paul who have built it up over the years, and helped save many tortoises. Its a busy day but well worth the effort.

Any tips for a first-timer at Birmingham? If there are queues at 9am is it worth waiting til later in the day or do we need to register by a certain time?

Thanks. Will do. I'm only 20 minutes or so from Brum so it's not going to be a day trip
