Agreed, excellent meeting and really good to see the animals that some of us can only dream about owning. That said, Stephen is quite tempted to look at Box Turtles! They are certainly pretty amazing.

Thanks to Paul for the talk and photographs and to Wendy for organising it

Sorry we had to leave early - homework to be done

I am glad you enjoyed it. The talk itself,on North American Box Turtles was indeed very well received, and considerable thanks needs to go to Ed Pirog, for supplying some great photo's and Linda and Dave Smith, who were kind enough to bring along a really nice collection of the captive animals, with their fantastic offspring.
These complimented the illustrated talk so very well.
With beautiful examples, of six out of a total of 10 species/sub species on view, the audience were able to view in close proximity this amazing group of Chelonia.

It was a pleasure helping a little. I'm glad it went well. Btw... you did keep the vulgarities to a minimum?

He was doing fine until the subject got onto the upside down mating malarkie.

But Paul managed to keep it technical.

Some might fairly say, "tactical".

It was discussed at great length in the car on the way home!

Box Turtle "bonking", was the source of quite a lively debate and lots of humour last Sunday. It certainly kept the audience from dropping off!
