I think there are two types? Some people call Lavateria bush's Mallow but there is another tree called a Mallow. I am unsure of proper name or what im looking for so haven't been able to get one (but heard many say they feed during winter)

The one I have has huge soft downy leaves. Just one tall stem to it. Got the seeds from SW shop.

This is the one I have, it can grow to over 5ft and can be just as wide, others are smaller. I got the seeds from a friend who just pulled off the seed pods of her plant:0) This was around ten years ago. They can be a pest as they self seed really easily. But they are just as easy to pull up when around a foot high:0)

Here is an old picture of my plants. There is a blackberry plant across the middle, which makes it look odd. But its the large leaves you can see that are tree mallow.
