Soil for seeds?
Bought some seeds from the shop.... Planted em today and realised it says on the bag to use none fertilised soil.
The soil ive used is specifically for growing your own plants and veggies but it does say fertilised, does this mean I can't use it? Thanks Sarah

I use the soil i have housed the tortoises on, put it in the bin then use what i need. So it is slightly fertilised as the torts must "go" in it at times.

Do you still have the bag the soil came in? if so does it say what the fertilizer is? as then someone may know if it is ok... (am sure it is probably fine...)

All those little bags of salad leaves sold in supermarkets and fed to tortoises when little else is available is LOADED with fertiliser. What you'll get if you plant your seeds in fertilised soil is lush leaves as weeds do prefer poor soil.
