Can this be safe for tortoises when we do not know what it has been sprayed with beforehand?

Thanks! I asked my mom, and she said we have some growing already in our garden, just hasn't flowered... are the leaves ok for them to eat in the mean time? Pansies are ok too aren't they?

Sorry Katie I've not got that right at all. What it is is that there is a Hibiscus variety called Rose of Sharon which is fine and there is a Hypericum which is I think St John's Wort but is also sometimes also called Rose of Sharon and it is that which is toxic.

The Hibiscus Rose of Sharon is fine and I would think all the Hibiscus varieties will be too

Sorry, hope you haven't dumped your plant

I love hibiscus they are such pretty flowers and its handy that tortoises can pick out my favourite plants and eat them
