I tend to be dubious of transfering new hatchlings into table at this time of year as I dont want to shock them. So even if I add them to the table during the day I sometimes put them back in the incubator overnight as its obviously colder at night.
As for bacteria in the incubator I had problems with late dis hatchlings (mainly Hermans) I looked into this as a possible cause & now add F10 to all water recepticals in the incubator which seems to help. Its always a tough call whether to open an "overdue" egg or not. I recently lost 3 of a clutch of 5 due to over calcified hard shells (they looked ok) heartbreakingly the hatchlings pipped then suddenly died. So I thought im not going to let these 2 die & broke them out. Rather than sit them in anything I actually dampened a clean container put a layer of vermiculite in, as deep as the yolk sac then made a well for sac to sit in (in the vermiculite) & draped damp kitchen roll on it then another piece over the top of container like a tent & spray this quietly in the dark trying not to scare hatchling. Good luck I do hope its a good outcome |

Baby is doing well.
Yolk sac. Has reduced a lot overnight and the plastron is straighter. I took all water dishes out of the incubator after Terrypins advice re infection. Now a dryer warm environment. Used the KY and will bath him when kids go to school! Thankyou for all your advice

Baby has drunk twice today and is now eating clover Is there an easy way to post pics on iPad?[/QUOTE Hi I don't use Apple I have an android phone but I am confident there will be a Photobucket App you can load. Then you should be able to load your pictures there and copy and paste to this site.

Photobucket is a picture hosting site & you need to copy the "IMG code" & paste it here and your photo will come up
We could do with some new "how to " threads for tablets and phones, apple & android. As the one Duggy made was brilliant for a traditional PC or laptop but not everyones using them now |

Sorry never realised this was a one word question lol.showing my age As has been said photobucket hosts your picture and once loaded to that site it is a simple copy and paste into your post. Any problems once your picture is on photobucket just say I can talk you through it. By PM if you prefer. Must confess slightly different without a mouse so I understand.
