I think a cheap set of digital scales is the best thing to use. I'm a chef and find those kind of scales are pretty hit and miss when it comes to weighing anything a bit bigger. It's not going to hurt feeding pellets a couple of times a week anyway but you really want to know how he is health wise.

Argos do some cheap ones that are pretty good ;0)

Hi I got the cheapest argos scales and weighed him again and he's 651g
