Default Hello :)

Hi eveyone,

My husband and I have wanted a tortoise for ages and we've finally decided to get one!

We already have quite a zoo: 5 year old Border Collie, 2 cats, 2 year old Syrian Hamster, 4 coldwater fish, 7 Chickens, 7 Rabbits and 1 Guinea Pig. Plus 3 children (4th due in the middle of Feb) I know we are gluttons for punishment lol!

Because of the new baby we are looking to get our tortoise in April time. My dad is making a custom tortoise table for us, one with a cat and child proof mesh lid! And I'm going to ask him to make an out door run for nice days too.

Ideally I would like a small tortoise, I love the Pancake babies that are for sale on here.

Looking forward to making new tortoise minded friends

Hello, pancake torts are not really ideal for inexperienced keepers as far as I know

Hi everyone thanks for saying hello

I'm not a complete beginner as we had tortoises at college to look after when I did my NC & ND in animal care but it will be the first that I have actually owned one .

It's great having people on here though to ask any questions that I will inevitably have!

Please keep coming to say hello
