Too right Stells. The thing that I bear in mind is that the tortoise is putting its life in your hands. I never claim to know everything, always trying to learn, and I do my best always for Lily. I may not have the perfect set up for him, but I would never leave anything to chance where his health and happiness are concerned. I ask stupid questions on these forums but I dont mind asking and although i get embarassed, I think its better i ask and know - than to worry and always wonder. Hell, everyone on here is excellent and have helped me no end. xx xxx xx Including you Stells!!xxx And to hear nice compliments about Lily makes me feel proud and know that I am on the right track and makes me real happy

I try to give mine enough to cover the shell, as noted previously, however they are very good at just eating what they want and leaving the rest.

Is Lily eating all of what you've been giving her?

And yeah, she may be a little lumpy, but it's still domed and looks smooth from the pictures you put up =) And it's good to hear that you're now looking in to better husbrandry, so much better than a lot of others!

Thanks everyone - that is really encouraging!! xx Lily still eats like he hasnt ate in years!!! But I have tried to cut it back during the last week, just want to see if I can get him to lose a little weight. I have a small dish, and I give enough to cover the dish with no over spill. Then i just dot a leaf or 2 about the place, so he has to hunt to sniff em down. But he eats what he eats...and its hard to enforce WW on a tort! lol. But..am trying hard!! xx
