We bought this one from Brunel, there are 2 eye pieces, and the 20x one can take the magnification up to 800x, we also bought a camera that fits in the slot where the eye piece goes, and you can take still shots or video. You get the whole kit, floatation fluid granuals, test tubes, slides etc...

Balantidium is a normal finding in low to moderate numbers in tortoise faeces and usually does not require treatment. There is evidence that low numbers of these organisms are beneficial to tortoise gut health

One of my Leopards is being treated for Balantidium at the moment - in her case she has quite a heavy load but as Mark has said a few will not need treatment.

She has had Metronidazole and is due to go back on Wednesday.
