Default Been To Longleat!

Well, I've just got back from Longleat, really enjoyed the safari park but not impressed with pets corner. They had Spur Thighs and Hermanns in the same small enclosure. One of them was wearing a sticky plaster! Don't know what that was for. Their enclosure was bear grass with a few tiny shrubs in the centre, providing no shade and just a wooden house for them to hide in. There was wire all around it and I saw two torts desperately tring to get through to get into the shade of the shrubs beyond.
There was a load of guinea pigs in an enclosure covered in bark chippings, not a blade of grass in site - poor piggies.
The yellow foots were sharing an indoor enclosure with loads of iguanas - don't know if this is a good idea?
I just felt with the huge expanse that is the longleat estate they could give the small animals more room.

It's definately worth a trip, it was really busy today and three cars broke down in the safari park cos of the heat! I guess I was just alittle disappointed as I have watched animal park for years and pets corner just seems so much bigger on the telly!

Yep we survived the monkeys, got some nice pics of them ripping the ariel off of the car infront though! Remember you have to keep your windows done up so make sure your air con works or take a fan and loads of water!

OOooh dear! Don't worry you can miss out the monkey jungle there is a short cut but you still need your windows shut when you're in with the lions!
