Naughty Layla
Layla, my female TGT, has been in her indoor pen now for two weeks and very picky with her food.
I had thought it was the move, but today I found her digging away quite happily. Unfortunately she had chosen a spot where the substrate was not very deep and had hit the bottom. As it's quite mild today, I fitted a 150combi bulb back in the greenhouse, put the tube heaters on etc, with a view to popping her back out whilst I revamped her indoor pen. While shaping a mound for her in the greenhouse, I put the trowel straight through one egg, but found another two there also. This must be her second clutch - the first was laid 9th June but sadly came to nothing So, have put the "new" 2 in the incubator - any ideas what chance they may have Layla is now back in her inside pen, with a nice deep mound,so fingers crossed

Never hurts to incubate and you can post pictures of the eggs in a dark with a torch shining in and we should be able to tell you what's going on.

Can't believe it Bev - I go digging outside because she is inside and wants to lay and find eggs Really quite bizarre Those two are safely in the incubator - we'll see Just hoping she goes back to digging tomorrow and safely passes what she is carrying

The eggs were probably laid the first or second week of August. Give it a week and then candle them.

How exciting Lynne, I nearly always break at least one egg as unless I spot them laying I never know they are there
