Not even sure why, no stress or anything...... I will try again but after my holiday

Never mind Row, you haven't lost anything, only gained what you saved not buying fags for 5 months! You know what they say- never give up giving up

I gave up for a few months many years ago and then started again and not even sure why.
Then I just decided one day I really wanted to quit, finished the packet and haven't smoked since. That was 20 years ago. When you're ready and really want to stop you will. It's very difficult but not impossible!!

Rowan, ask yourself this. Why do I think my body is so worthless that I can destroy it with a toxic substance. I don't know if you have children or if you do whether you smoked during pregnancy. But so many women give up smoking when pregnant so they don't harm their baby. Why is your body any less important than the baby's? That baby needs you for a long time, you should not smoke so you can be there for the child for as long as possible.
Try this mantra when you want a cigarette. My body is important. I don't need to pollute it with a dead plant. I am worth more than that.

Never say you've failed, you just haven't quite got there yet. When my son didn't pass the 11plus, I didn't use the Word fail, your just going to another school.

nevermind Rowan as previously said you will quit when you are realy realy ready. yes its a shame but it is easier said than done. You did extremely well to last the time you did. We people who have stopped are always 'holier than thou' but we also recognise what a struggle it can be.
So in your own time, you will do it when your fully ready. Regards Sue |
