ah right thanks a think i will go and get some of these tomorrow the poor lil fella hasnt had a uv nutrabol or limestone flower for almost a week !
are all of these available at most pet shops ???

and another question do they shed skin !? as it appears mine had just done so in the bath !?

most tortoises shed skin but not scales.
Geordie mark, you can go to most petshops and ask for a reptile uvb light, and most will have it in stock or will order one for you... as for nutrobal im positive they can order it if you ask them, if not then i think the shelledwarriors shop sells nutrobal and limestone flour

Yes, if your tortoise starts shedding its scales- get it to a vet ASAP.

Feed weeds or flowers as everyone else says- but dont think that you can feed it willy nilly, even too much of the right diet can make a tort deformed
Feed enough for them to eat in a week, or enough to cover their shell.
My torts actually prefer grazing, but I still give additional weeds, as there is just simply not enough grazing for all four in the one enclosure.
The smaller torts get food on their slate and hidden behind their hides and rocks.

ok cheers for the info but shedding its scales get to a vet ? whats that mean it seems as if it has come from the leg ??

LOL, its because tay said " a tortoise sheds its skin not its scales" so I reminded that if a tort has shedding scales/nail loss etc then take it to a vet.

hi mark

the tort arms legs neck head covered all over with skin which does peel

on the limbs there are actual scales which should not be coming of
