13year old spurthigh lays
My 13year old gracea ibera laid 5 eggs yesterday, properly nested and now safely in the incubator. She took ages to calm down afterwards and was still making'filling in'movements with her back legs hours afterwards.Tonight when I went to close up for the night I found a puddle of slimy pinkish fluid in the hutch with another tiny(5p size)egg in the middle. Is this normal or does she need to see a vet. She's been eating and acting normally all day

Great news about your eggs I have seen small eggs in clutches and I've also had females lay eggs after they have successfully nested.
If she is eating and acting normally, I wouldn't worry about it. If she stops eating or anything else unusual, I'd bring her to the vets to get an x-ray. Danny

Good luck with your eggs
I feel sad now I have no females and will never have eggs to hatch |
