Default Valentine's Day

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I could not let it pass as it was 6 years ago my 2 torts Bertie and Beatrice arrived as 2 year olds. They were not planned presents, it just happened to fall on 14th Feb but as my husband paid for them it made it feel special. They have brought me so much pleasure so he continues to take the credit.

Have a lovely Sunday whatever you are doing.

Bertie and Beatrice will have a nice warm bath, a turn around the kitchen and lovely fresh picked weeds/flowers. Plus of course lots of loving chatter from me!

We just card-swapped here and it's 20 years of marriage this summer for us. Valentine's presents are over-priced and a waste of time. I'd be totally horrified if my hubby bought me flowers - I'd rather have the money!
I do have a sweet side though and made valentines cupcakes for the kids.

How lovely that Bertie and Beatrice arrived on Valentine's Day, Jan.
That's what I call a Valentine's gift!!!!

I agree Emma, I wouldn't let my hubby buy flowers, too expensive, it's shocking how the shops put up the price just for Valentine's Day , we don't even do cards. But hubby did surprise me with a card this year, which was nice. Call me a bit bah humbug, but I don't buy into the whole thing.

Perhaps I should have sent you my special chocolate cake that my husband ate one piece of and then told me the truth! It is a 'healthy' recipe made with a nut, date and coconut base. The topping is avocados, honey, coconut, cocoa. I have to admit is was disgusting! Looked lovely.....

So we had some chocolates instead which I felt I deserved after moving patio slabs all morning.

Eat the toffee, big treat, your earned it today. Life is too short. Then be good again....
