It can also depend if you have overwintered them as well, sometimes one will be more active than another over winter then the other way around in spring/summer. That is the case with mine

Hi an update

Did the Wormcount and I'm shocked and sad. The results are

Oxyurids George 3940 epg Fred 8940 epg

Ironically the lower figure is for the grumpy one. Now worried about what I did wrong.

Off to the vet for some worming ASAP.

just read this thread and i have been finding my tort to be very sleepy and not very movable at all, i usually wake him for him to feed and go back to his hide, his behaviour is much the same when he is in his outdoor enclosure

ive mainly put this down to the terrible weather we have had

he was wormed when i got him in may as there were visable worms in his poo, but now im worried there might be more i cant see...........so ive now ordered a testing kit7

hope he is ok

You wouldn't have done anything wrong, they get worms. Even after they are rid of them they will get re infected with them if they are eating their own craps - which they do. Outdoors they can eat plants with bird crap on and get them that way

cheers - read some posts about Panacur so think I might go down that route. Both Torts are quite small 70g and 120g so I think I will need quite small doses.

Can someone recommend which Panacur I should get?
