For Carapace Grace... Heidi
Believe it or not Grace, I think she is doing pretty well. Her plastron was really soft when she arrived, but it has hardened really well. She is very active and mischievious. But as you can see, life in a tiny viv, no uv, no calcium....

I have a marginated that hasnt got the most perfect shell but she's lively & inquisitive & I love her just the same, she is special! |

Just shows how bad care can lead to deformity.
Good on you for giving this tortoise a second chance, I hope it lives a long happy life with you now, it deserves it

awww bless her, she looks like she has a lovely face to make up for it makes me wonder where her lungs are...
I guess she cant see her own shell to know she is different has she ever fallen on her back and not been able to get up?

Hi Grace, funnily enough she landed on her back for the first time in the three years I have had her, just the other day. Sadly she couldn't get back up, so I have been trying to make her enclosure more climb proof. The current experiment is leaning her fence inwards so she can't really climb at all. So far so good, but she can be very determined!!
