Is this smooth thistle, sow thistle??
Yep I know pics aren't great... http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/w...th_photo-9.jpg http://emob700.photobucket.com/album...g?t=1305472276 http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/w...th_photo-8.jpg http://emob700.photobucket.com/album...g?t=1305472849 http://emob700.photobucket.com/album...g?t=1305472844 Thanks... Gotta feeling it's smooth thistle.... Maybe. One of the sets of leaves, little bit prickly round the edges, but the darker leaf no prickles. |

Not smooth thistle? Or Sow thistle... I'm confused....the leaves are quick thick. Rubbery feeling.. |

Smooth Sow Thistle, Prickly Sow Thistle one or the other edible. Then there's the Marsh Sow Thistle and the Perennial Sow Thistle. All belonging in the Daisy family.

No, I have a few bits of the prickly one, not sure if he would go for anything too prickly. I put a bit in the box though..He eats Bristly Ox tongue but the prickles dont seem to really stick out on those.
I held out a bit of the smooth this morning...took it out my hand. Totally different texture than with other weeds, it seems rubbery almost xx |
