Weedness relocation Scheme
Apologies for the title but most of the weeds below had been uprooted from the garden or other places over the winter, beginning of spring and planted in a "weed bed" and have taken brilliantly.
Sedum is also something that is great to break up and plant around the place The chicory, evening primrose and hollyhock that was planted and flowered last year is coming back

Brill Alex,my female margies have eaten most of the things in their area down to the ground! Male only seems to have a nibble but the girls are gannets, so I need to go out & get more!
What time of year did you transplant them Alex? & did you remove the foliage? |

Thank Lynn
All throughout the year, for example the hedge mustard and some of the forget-me-not was during the winter, as was expecting replanting had no immedaite affect, the plants didnt grow but come early march they really starting growing! things like the sow thistle was generally planted over the last 6 weeks, some has settled well and grown brilliantly others havent done much yet. Try and get as much of the root system as possible and at this time of year regular watering for newly transplanted ones is important. Foliage was kept on. Sometimes they look pretty sorry for themselves for a few weeks and can go three ways, leafs die and they do, leaves die but they slowly grow back or they just carry on growing as normal

Thanks Louise by the way your outside enclosure looked great! Just make sure it doesn't flood in heavy rain but your drainage system looked good

That's great, Alex.
I've got a weed patch too and am hoping it'll establish well this year. My friends have been letting me dig up their cat's ear and sowthistles, which have transplanted and taken well. Fingers crossed the rest will too as well as the seeds I've sown.
