Default Is this tortoise shop reliable?

I'm sure it is because of how professional it looks for starters, but just in case has anyone ordered anything off here, is it all good? Was only asking this because of the fact it is only online and has an office, not a shop, thanks

I think it is about SW shop. It is reliable shop, many satisfied customers. And this is the best place on internet to get the right advise on your tortoise as well.

If you are looking to buy a tortoise there are breeders on here who sell them, UK bred. The site you are looking at sell 'captive bred' tortoises which is not the same thing. They will most likely be captive bred in Slovenia or Macedonia and exported to the UK. There's not a problem with that, you can buy from where you like but some people are of the opinion that buying UK bred is best

About five to six years ago, this site was run by an excellent private breeder, and his tortoises were all home bred. When he sold out, the tortoises then became "captive bred" from a few places. And are imported mostly if not all from abroad. Whether they are good or not I don't know.
But if it were me, I would always buy from a reputable private breeder in the UK, who will be there with after care advice when needed:0)

Yes a private breeder is best.

But my Amber came from there, she came really smooth and healthy, now another may not be as good they are all different... she is quite shy and I think she must have been in a group all her life as she doesn't really like being alone, just this morning she broke in to Misha's side of the table again, even though he fights with her...

So I think you certainly can get a good tortoise from there, but I would still recommend a breeder!

Thanks, il consider it, but where can you find or contact a breeder around a specific area? I don't know hardly anything about 'tortoise breeders'.

There are many on here, start a threat in the wanted section in the classifides area.
Don't forget to say where you are and what species you are looking for

Your tortoise might well be wild caught/farmed too, as they are a lot more timid/quieter than captive bred tortoises.
