Oooh I've not seen one like that before. I always used Ferplast cages, you can get pretty big ones for breeding and I never had problems with babies getting through bars but where the levels are that might be an issue for you. The ramp they should do, is it smooth? If its smooth you might want to add something to give them grip.

The ramp has ridges all the was up and is sort of rough in between.

The dimensions of the cage are 122 x 62 x 91 cm (L x W x H)

The babies should beable to manage the ramp, they are very lively

When I used to keep guinea pigs, one of mine had babies and one evening she got stressed and ate one of her babies

Yep they should manage easy then.

And aww that must have been a seriously stressed piggy. They very rarely ever do that if they're the right age. If they're under 5 months when bred you risk that happening but wow. Are you sure the baby wasn't already dead? Guinea pigs are murder for eating dead animals left in the cage. Mine had a runt and the siblings killed it then the mother started eating it. Was awful.

Something must have spooked her, her hutch was in an outdoor shed. Not sure of her age as I got her from petsathome at like Pagan queen's she was already pregnant.

She had 5 babies, all happy and seemed healthy. The next day I went to check on them all and there were only 4 babies left...
She also rejected one and kept pushing it away so I had to try and hand feed that one but it died

The baby may have just died Lynne. The mother will eat dead pigs so that predators don't smell them and kill the whole family. It's natural instinct to protect them. Some birds kick any dead young out of the nest for the same reason. Or even carry them away from the nest sight and drop them. Have you ever wondered where that baby bird came from, that's laying on the pavement?

That's really interesting Wendy, I have often wondered why you sometimes find a baby bird just lying on the ground. I hope the piggy births go well. Show us some pic when they arrive, please.
