we are going to see the asthma nurse in 2 weeks,do some computerised breathing tests then decide ether to see specialist or allergy test, all along i have thought it was heartburn as he eats all the time, and too fast and the coughing is after meals and when lying down, the inhalers help with the cough but his peak flow readings have always been good the inhalers dont make them higher.I just hate waiting weeds now in garden

Jackie has he been tested for Hiatus Hernia?
These symtoms can occur after a meal or when lying down.

I wonder if its the soil??
take the weed outside and see what happen for 1 week.. It could be the "dust" from the soil that seems to "fly" when you add water on.. I have asthma.. its trigger off by short hair cats (I know daft!!) and hayfever.. mostly to nettle and spring flower.. I ok with summer flower (stupid again lol!!) |

I have bad hayfever but I haven't had a reaction to the many weed plants in my house so I doubt you have much to worry about
But being a mum you do worry I know Get an allergy test then you will be better informed |

I take it he's had the whooping cough injection? My daughter got whooping cough because she only had the first injection and took ill after it so they wouldn't give her the second one. She was coughing and coughing until she was sick all the time.
My son spent 6 months in hospital from when he was just a few months old and they found he had asthma but was also allergic to raw eggs (just touching it was enough to make his face swell to twice the size), cow's milk, pollen, cats and a few other things. They could all trigger asthma as well as other individual allergies like rash and swelling. The only thing he is still allergic to now is cats, he goes into fits of sneezing if he's been in a room where a cat has been. He's 24 now and the asthma gradually went as he got older. He is also allergic to cleaning his car and having money left on a Monday morning Last edited by Alan1; 21-03-2009 at 07:57 AM. |
