i had a mild panic this morning (enough to put Sherman in my son Adie's room upstairs). I live on a small "island" cut off from colchester at high tide, usually for max of an hour at a time. Well the road was flooded at 10am and high tide wasn't until 11.40am It cleared about 1pm.
My dads boat is on my drive, early this morning hubby suggested i strap the boat to its trailer so it didn't float off. I pointed out that if the water was high enough for it to float off then me, the kids, dog, tortoise and computer would be safely sitting IN the boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!
