Is my Guinea Pig Old or Ancient?
Hi, our Guinea Pig, Radar, named after Radar O'Reilly from MASH is just over 8 years old, does this make him old? or very ancient?

I used to breed them years ago. My females didn't usually see five (If they dont breed they usually live longer) but I had an old male that was almost 10 by the time he passed. Is her squeek horse? they sound so funny when they get old. If they get above 7 there doing very well.

well in the RSPCA hand book they say 6 years is the average so ur doing will.....my male i had lasted 9 years. females that aren't breed can live longer as they ahve less stress...but with non bred ones there pelvis fuses together, which does not hurt them at all but cud shorten it alittle bit. but yours is old for sure.
