How nice - Mary, the harbinger of doom! I’m sure she was the epitome of sweetness, light, hope and a quick recovery, Gordon.
Did you share cake?

Cake was offered but as I don't partake anymore I politely refused and had two cups of tea sat under the apple tree in the garden looking at torts......perfect way to spend the day....

Sounds really blissful actually. The perfect sort of recuperation activity.

Oh Gordon, sorry I haven’t been on for ages, I have just read all of it, you poor poor chap, you have been through hell. hopefully the end is nearly in sight. What a terrible few months you have had, sounds like some of it could have been avoided if people had done their jobs properly. You should have let’s us do it ! lots of love xx

Obviously he realises that now, Suze. Especially as we could have used Mary’s kitchen table before she sold her old home.

In all seriousness I really hope day by day things will improve. It’s definitely not going to be a quick recovery but any progress, no matter how small, is a step in the right direction.
In the meantime, you could keep us updated with any hatchling photos that come along, Gordon.

I'm sure if you had all done it while playing with tortoises and not washing your hands it would of probably been fine and I wouldn't of got any infections.
I'm off to see someone today to look at the skin where the infection was as when I was at the doctors the other day she was a bit concerned as to the colour of the skin as it's going a sort of white ish yellow which she didn't like and when you press on it skin normally goes white then colours back up but it's not.
So maybe this is going to turn into another problem as the surgeon said it might when I was in hospital last.

Well good luck with it, Gordon. Hope it isn’t going to be anything major. You probably need to wear a hazmat suit every time you go back to the hospital now to prevent any more new infections! 🙄
