My Hermanns got themselves up during a mild spell mid Feb and are up and about most days (with a heat lamp) now. The Horsfields did 18 weeks hibrnation in total, they're all up and about (and lost about a gram each from the start of wind down, buried themselves deep which I think helped). Two of my box turtles made an appearance last week, then went back underground, the rest have yet to surface. They have the same temps and a lamp on each day just in case but there waiting for something else...

my Hermans has been down since November in my conservatory. The daytime temps are starting to rise >10 degrees so I reckon I'll give torty 2-3 more weeks and get her up...

One woke up today, at 1pm the sun was on the garage roof, gently warming the temps inside, went to 10c in there box. Went in to check and the little of the three was sat there, covered in top soil, as if to say, i'm back Dad sort me out . Got a table ready with lamp in about a quarter of an hour, double speed. Basking now after a good soak and clean up.

Thanks for that Cath, I really don't think I could use my fridge as always full and kids never shut the door! Although a separate fridge freezer might'nt be a bad idea, as then I wouldn't have the hassle of trying to cram stuff in every Saturday!!
