Hi Paul I have mine in the fridge still, 13 wks fri just gone, 2 Hermanns, dont know they're exact age but we think about 7/10 years old, would love mine to be up, get them out in the sunshine but still very cold here at night -3 and -4, very hard frosts, they do have a unheated greenhouse but even in there its too cold at night 0 degrees, plan is to just keep an extra eye on them for a couple more wks untill night time temps are a bit warmer, my worry is how long to keep them down ??

3 of my hermanns are still in the fridge-9 weeks so far-am hoping for another 3.Weights are really stable. The 4th is far to nosey and only managed 3 weeks.
The weeds are just starting to sprout so I am hoping by the time they're all up I can get a good supply.

Thats great to know Bindi, I will probably need daily reassurance! Can I ask do all you keepers put them in your own fridges or do you all have special fridges? Not sure I'd have room in mine and the kids often don't even bother to close it half the time! Saw a table-top 1 in Argos for pretty reasonable £ - would this be more suitable? xx

I've got a separate fridge/freezer top part fridge, bottom part freezer, fridge is only used for torts and bottles of water to help stabilize the temps, fridge gets opened every morning to waft some air in and that's all, they're not disturbed at all except to be weighed every friday morning freezer is full of bread and oven chips xx
