Introducing Charlie
Here is my Charlie, he is my very first Tortoise - i've had him since friday evening now & he is gradually settling well.
He is a 2 year old Hermanns, weighs 106g and is 75mm long (can anyone tell me if this is ok?). He is such a character, very inquisitive - looks for me when he can hear my voice, loves to come out and nosey around outside his enclosure...............but not when he is tired (like me he gets very grumpy indeed when he is tired), so far he's a fussy eater lol he loves pansy heads, dandelion heads & Bindweed flowers & leaves, but will turn his nose up at tougher greens like dandelion leaves He is amazing!!!!! |

Thanks pete - it was his marking that attracted me to him, then his personality sealed the deal once i had spent a few hours with him

Gave him a bath - which he hated! and fed him some lush flowers, which he yammed down like he'd never been fed . Now he's sleeping under his pansy plant ........and i'm knackered! lol |

Charlie is lovely misterT.
I think we all give a jump for joy and a sigh of relief when they settle in to their new homes, its a great feeling. Hope he has many happy years ahead in his new home with you. Ade
