Default Spur thigh maybe Moroccan female!

I have an ibera that I would like to find an experienced home for as I feel that I'm just not managing to look after it properly. The tortoise came to me from preloved with Herman papers so I don't have any papers for this tortoise but it is definately an ibera. I have had the tortoise since 2009 and I believe it to be born around 2007

When I first had the tortoise it suffered from one episode of RNI but since being treAted there hasn't been a repeat. It does seem to go through phases of not eating and has been doing that this week. The tortoise is only around 115mm scl and has hardly grown or put on weight since I have had it

I have a group of Herman's as well and just don't have room for adequate setups for 2 different groups

This tortoise who I call bramble is actually my favourite so it has been a hard decision. I am looking for someone experienced with iberas who can take better care of the tortoise than I can and will keep me updated from time to time on how bramble is getting on

Do you know if it's male or female? That may help if someone is interested.
Also how much?
Like you, I can't take on another species, hope you find a good home xx

I'm not sure the vet said male but doesn't look very male to me!

I'm not looking for anything as it doesn't have papers all I am looking for is a better home than the one I can provide

There is a lot of food sniffing going on today so I'm hopeful the current hunger strike is almost at an end. I've been bathing and have taken bramble out into the sun this morning!

Hi - can you pop up a picture plastron and topside? Will help to check exactly what Bramble is (nice name)

It would explain why it is more delicate if it is Moroccan, good job I haven't tried to hibernate it!

Lynne I agree

She (yes a female ) looks to be a Moroccan spur-thigh, Testudo graeca marokkensis. Good thing you didn't hibernate her.
