Honest opinions
Hi folks.. . As you know I make the nappy cakes and sock monkeys. Well I have been doing this for nearly 2 years and up until its just my hobby and to give me something to do thru the day. Now I have been approached by a lady in a nearby village who is interested in having some of the nappy cakes in her shop and on her website, at no cost to myself, but as she sells designer childrens clothes and people always ask her for newborn baby gifts which she doesn't stock.
So now I want some advice from all you good people of how much you would pay for something like this in a shop. Really appreciate your very honest opinions. click on pics pic 1 has 43 nappies, hodded towel and wash mitt, soft fleece blanket, teddy, 2 bibs,2 bodysuits(vests),pair of bootees and will be all wrapped in cellophane with a bow pic 2 has 34 nappies,blanket,3 bodysuits, muslim cloth, bib, rattle, pair of baby shoes and again will be wrapped. pic 3 has 44 nappies,blanket,2 bodysuits,bib,muslim,2 pair socks, and a teddy and once again all wrapped. THANKYOU |

I would say £25 to £ 35 as it is an unusual gift...

I'm not sure as I think it depends slightly on where it is being sold - if its somewhere a little upmarket you can charge a little more

I think they're absolutely beautiful gifts, and would love to give one of these if the need arose.
The cost I would agree with Helen, about £30 or so,but then it all depends on what market and how affluent the area is you're hoping to sell them in is. It must cost quite a bit to put all that together |

i think the prices are a little low
add up the cost of the materials plus the time to make plus travel time to fetch supplies & deliver finished products to the shop i wish you great sucess with this venture they are gorgeous gifts if you google nappy cakes you will see £30 only covers the basic small cake design |
