Smile Chalk?!

Hi guys,

Is it true that chalk can be used as a source of calcium like cuttlefish?

I live in a very chalky part of the world ( south Wilts ) and mine are always finding little bits of chalk to chomp on.

I bought a small bag of chalk from the Devon Tortoise Group meeting i went to a few weeks ago, i put a small piece of it in my hatchling table but they havent touched it!
I will have to see if the older ones are interested.
