Cherry head is just a name given to a smaller regional variation of red foots.

so they can be put together then, also are our summer warm enough for them to go out the garden in the summer.

Yes they are the same species Viv There are though 6 regional variations that may end up being subspecies in the future. I personally would keep them apart if they were opposite sexes just to prevent cross breeding. If they are the same sex then it's fine

Remember redfoots don't need a hot sunny day to enjoy the outdoor life as long as its warm they will be fine, they actually prefer summer humid damp days rather than glaring sunny days.
cherries should never be housed with other larger redfoots if at breeding age , cherries are far more distinct in size shape colour than redfooted tortoises and it seem very likely they will be classed as a distinct sub-speices or even species. As juveniles though they have the same requirements so will happily share accommodation or adults of mixed types and the same sex again will live happily together. Darren
